This is the copy of great statue Equestrian Portrait of Louis XIV - oryginally perfected sculpted by Giovanni Bernini for Wersal<br />
<br />
-Ofc zbrush 3.1 was necacary<br />
zbrush3.1 for modeling - used subtools (22pieces) - generated displace maps for rendering(by regions..with bitmap pager turned on) in Vray with 3dsmax. Tetxures used by materials from cgtextures.com volume light and bacground are rendered to elements and composed later.<br />

I wanted to try how fast skin in mental ray looks with diferent colors than normal skin - is possible to look 'realistic' ? not yet but im close <img src="http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="" class="inlineimg" /><br />

I used ofcourse few textures for scatering layers.<br />
Skin details are painted in zbrush and photoshop, no pictures used at all.<br />
<br />
low poly modeling and rendering Max with mental ray.<br />
<br />
Flare and contrast are added in photoshop.]]>
